Job Purpose:

As a Vessel Composite Structures Designer, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing composite structures for marine vessels, ensuring strength, durability, and performance. Your expertise in composite materials and structural design will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality and efficiency of our vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and optimize composite structures for marine vessels, including hulls, decks, and superstructures. Utilise 2D CAD software and 3D design software such as SolidWorks and other design tools to create detailed models and drawings. Conduct structural analyses and simulations to validate design concepts. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of composite structures into vessel designs. Stay updated on advancements in composite materials and manufacturing processes. Work closely with production teams to ensure accurate implementation of designed structures.

Desired Experience & Qualification:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related technical qualification. Previous experience in composite structures design, preferably in the marine industry. Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software and structural analysis tools. Strong understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Passion for marine engineering and composite structures design. Attention to detail and accuracy in design work. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.

Salary:

Negotiable, commensurate with experience.
