We are currently accepting applications for the following position located in the Emalahleni, Mpumalanga area.
Ventilation and Occupational Hygiene Engineering (VOHE) Officer
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal inspections, legislation and company policies and procedures on all matters concerning Occupational Hygiene Engineering are implemented, monitored and complied within area of responsibility.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Compiling mandatory Occupational Hygiene monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
Assessing workplace stressors for Airborne Pollutants, Thermal stress, Noise, and developing a strategy and monitoring program as per the DMRE Guidelines.
Conducting self-propelled mobile machinery and area illumination and noise survey.
Sampling and analysing of potable water.
Analysing and reporting of hazardous chemicals.
Compiling baseline and issue-based risks assessments for all stressors encountered.
Minimum Qualifications:
Relevant Tertiary Qualification (NQF level 6) and Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control OR
Advance Certificate in Mine Environmental Control.
Driver's license (Code EB/08).
Minimum Experience:
2 Years' experience in Occupational Hygiene or completed Graduate Development Programme
Competent in hygiene measurement techniques.
Behavioural Competencies:
Consciousness for details and the ability to produce consistently high quality and accurate work.
Ability to apply practical skills and common sense to solve problems and deliver accountabilities.
Ability to work consistently hard to achieve deliverables and honour commitments made.
