Job SummaryWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team in Brackenfell. The ideal candidate will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of vehicles, ensuring top-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Servicing: Perform routine maintenance and servicing on light motor vehicles, SUVs, and 4x4s.
• Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve vehicle faults and issues accurately.
• Repairs: Conduct mechanical repairs, including engine, transmission, suspension, and brake systems.
• Test Drives: Carry out test drives to ensure vehicles are operating correctly post-service.
• Tool Maintenance: Maintain personal tools and ensure workshop equipment is used responsibly.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of hoists, hydraulic tools, and personal protective equipment.
• Workshop Upkeep: Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring tools are stored appropriately after use.
• Reporting: Provide accurate reports on work performed and parts required for vehicle repairs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Matric / Grade 12 Certificate.
• Qualifications: Automotive Mechanic Trade Test Certification (mandatory).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified vehicle technician.
• Licenses: Valid driver's license (Code B or higher).
• Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools; strong understanding of automotive systems.

Preferred Attributes:

• Brand Experience: Experience with VW, Audi, GWM, or Chery vehicles is advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to accurately diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues.
• Customer Service: Strong communication skills to explain technical information to clients.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Adaptability: Willingness to stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
