Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for a User Interface Designer responsible for the planning, design, implementation and support of new or modified user interfaces.

What you'll need:

• At least 1-2 years relevant experience.
• Relevant diploma or degree.
• User interface experience.

What you'll be doing:

Collaborate with and provide advice to team members:

• Collaboration with team members.
• Provide assistance to team members where needed.
• Provide direction to team members.
• Check work done by team members.

Define, contribute, review, document and assess embedment of service delivery standards and procedures:

• Quality assurance.
• Planning and executing application change implementations according to change and

release management standard and procedure.

• Delivery lifecycle performance.
• Maintain application architecture documentation.

Testing of UX and UI initiatives.
User interface design:

• Focus on responsive design and adapt visual content for various screen applications.
• Design the interactive properties of different UI elements.
• Use motion graphics to create visual appealing content.
• Use imagery, colour palettes, typography and individual UI elements to accurately convey the brand's image and marketing communication message.
• Collaborate with the UX and Web Designer to define, design and implement innovative solutions, visuals and an enhanced user experience.
• Execute all stages of visual design from concept to final hand-off for implementation on digital platforms.
• Develop and maintain a UI style guide to ensure design consistency.
• Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
• Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders.

Production of multimedia, from conception to publication:

• Obtain creative brief, scope project and make suggestions on the most effective design application.
• Create concepts, layouts and prepare illustrations/samples of material, based on knowledge of layout principles.
• Study illustrations and photographs to plan presentation of materials, products, or services.
• Design graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and web applications.
