JS Jordaan Boerdery is an established and successful table grape company whos focus is to provide high quality table grapes to an established overseas and local market. Our client has three positions available - two positions for the two production units situated in the Hex River Valley, and one position for the unit situated in the Overhex area.
The ideal candidates have strong leadership skills, paired with excellent planning, time management, and problem-solving capabilities.
The successful candidates will be responsible for *Overall management and control of unit production processes *Workforce management, discipline, coordination, training & development *Compiling and executing annual operating budget (within a given framework and support of internal expertise) *Identifying opportunities to increase revenue by focusing on optimizing resources via systems and policies *Introducing and managing systems to measure expected outcomes *Recordkeeping and documentation *Overseeing relevant facilities management & maintenance *All other tasks related to the position.
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
A tertiary qualification in Agriculture or related field;
At least 4 years experience in a similar role;
Commercial knowledge of the typical table grape value chain and productivity measurements;
Computer proficiency (MS Office);
Strong communication skills in Afrikaans and English;
Valid drivers license.
