Job Description
A company based in Pretoria with experience in Engineering maintenance projects is looking for a
Unit Controller Technician
for a 4 year contract in Ellisras.Requirements:
Grade 12/N3 plus NQF5 Certificate in Power Plant Process Operations as a minimum qualification, OR NQF6 Occupational Certificate in Coal Fired Power Plant Process Controller Years of experience: 3-5 years working as a Unit Controller

Skills and Competencies
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks effectively, and communicate Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Power Plant Controller PSR(Plant Safety Rules) Knowledge
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the unit operates within all acceptable Quality, Environmental and Safety standards Execute and supervise all major operational procedures, including complex unit cold start-ups and hot restarts. Authorize and oversee the safe isolation (electrical and mechanical) of equipment for maintenance, ensuring all energy sources are secured. Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all significant operations, events, and parameter changes. Manage real-time unit load changes. Operating plant as per technical specifications
