Job Summary
Our Client, a prominent name in the Insurance Industry, is seeking to employ an experienced Short Term Underwriter (Personal and Commercial Lines) to their team based in Johannesburg (West Rand).
Requirements:
- Matric
- Full Short-Term Insurance Qualification or currently studying towards it.
- Date of first appointment on the FSCA Representative Register with license categories in Short-Term Insurance: Personal and Commercial Lines.
- Minimum 3 years of underwriting or policy administration experience.
- Driver's license and own transport.
- TIAL system knowledge will be advantageous.
- Assist clients with all documentation and short-term insurance cover requirements, from quotation to finalisation of cover.
- Ensure all required documentation is followed up and completed.
- Validate endorsements and amendments on policies, re-insurance requirements, and cover.
- Check that instructions given to insurers are correctly reflected on policy schedules received.
- Handle all broker enquiries and provide appropriate solution processes.
- Draft cover confirmation letters for distribution to clients.
- Record document flow on the electronic filing system.
- Attend to policy renewals and acceptances.
