Role Purpose

To ensure the successful implementation of high-quality software solutions within Metropolitan Retail by combining rigorous testing practices with effective change control management. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding system integrity, supporting business continuity, and driving operational excellence.

Requirements

Educational Qualification: Relevant Degree
Certifications: ISTQB Testing Qualification
5-10 years in the financial services industry
4-5 years as a Test Analyst in a UAT environment

Duties & Responsibilities

Change Control Management

Maintain the Metropolitan Retail Release Dashboard to provide visibility of upcoming and completed changes.
Update and present the Daily Operational Report at operational check-in meetings.
Attend the Daily CAB (Change Advisory Board) and provide feedback to core teams.
Compile and distribute the Monthly Change Report.
Manage and monitor all change requests and slot bookings across platforms, including server maintenance weekends.
Enforce the Quality Gate:
Ensure all changes are tested before moving to pre-environment.
Ensure test execution done in testing tool for Test and PRE.
Confirm UAT and Regression completion before production release.
Ensure test evidence is attached to slot bookings.
Ensure deployment instructions are received and signed off.
Confirm successful implementation of functionality and Production sign off and evidence attached to all changes.
Ensure a robust rollback process is in place for unsuccessful implementations.
Conduct Post-Implementation Reviews for failed deployments to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
Coordinate business user production testers for server maintenance and obtain business sign-off.

Standby required for Maintenance weekends (One Sunday a month)

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Execute UAT in the PRE environment for all solution teams within Metropolitan Retail.
Conduct OIPA Batch Testing in the PRE environment.
Ensure all test evidence is captured in TestLink for both Test and PRE environments as part of the quality gate.
Uphold and enforce testing standards and processes across all phases of testing.
Take accountability for the correct functioning of key testing activities and ensure alignment with agreed standards.
Contribute to organizational goals by ensuring the delivery of quality business systems through thorough test execution.
Help establish and maintain an end-to-end regression test pack to support continuous delivery and system stability.
Leverage Test Automation where applicable. Able to create and maintain scripts in an existing project. (Experience in Test Automation is advantageous)
