Job Description
Vacancies exists for personnel with previous aviation and related experience in the Public Safety / Law Enforcement sector. The position focuses mainly on onsite UAS "drone" flights / PIC for select clientele. This position will report to the Head of Department: Airborne Operations. Key responsibilities:
- Flight Operations: Planning, execution / oversight, and reporting.
- On-site client relations.
- Communication with clientele and other roleplayers; i.e. FACT, ATNS, SACAA, etc.
- Post flight administration and reporting.
- Previous Aviation Experience; CPL preferred, RPC or PPL minimum.
- General radio licence preferred.
- Good foundation knowledge and understanding of the UAS "drone" industry in South Africa.
- Code B drivers licence - (held for 3 years - preferred)
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Self-motivated and a strong problem solver
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory) and Afrikaans (preferred)
- Willingness to work shift type hours and weekends / public holidays, as well as standby shifts.
- Clean criminal record - mandatory requirement
- RPC MR with BVLOS - preferred additional qualification
- AVSEC - preferred qualification
- Medical Class 3 minimum - mandatory requirement
- PSIRA Grade C, CRM, ICS 100 - preferred additional qualifications
- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Aviation: 2 years (Required)
