Purpose of the Job:

Macmillan Education South Africa is seeking to appoint an experienced professional to the position of TVET Sales Representative: EC & KZN to manage and grow sales within a geographic territory by securing new and maintaining existing adoptions, and by delivering excellent service to customers.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma, preferably in education.
• 3+ years' experience in a similar Sales position.
• Experience of working for an educational publishing company or in the education sector.
• Experience of negotiating with relevant decision makers in the education sector.
• Able to multi-task.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Good administrative skills and self-discipline.
• Able to work nationally when required to.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity.
• Able to competently use office productivity software.
• Be in possession of a valid driver's license.

• To promote Macmillan's product range to TVET Colleges and booksellers. Use a needs-based methodology to achieve or exceed annual turnover targets.
• Distribute sample copies to customers and play an active role in promotion drives throughout the year.
• To assist in promoting material to schools, education officials and librarians when needed.
• Exhibit relevant material at conferences and exhibitions, presenting to delegates when the opportunity arises.
• Arrange for Macmillan to sponsor lecturer award events, aiming to be one of the main sponsors where financially viable.
• To develop and maintain knowledge of the product range to ensure existing adoptions are maintained and take-away opportunities are capitalized on.
• To comply with the customer-centric plan to ensure long-term relationships are cultivated such that the win/win principle is achieved.
• To produce regular reports and plans, including market intelligence and feedback for internal partners.
• Liaise with internal partners to ensure excellent customer service.
