Job SummaryHire Resolve's client is in search of adept Turbine Engineers/Technicians experienced in wind turbine construction and commissioning assignments.This position entails supervising, monitoring, and examining turbine erection procedures to ensure adherence to safety protocols and project specifications. Successful candidates will collaborate closely with Senior Project Professionals, Project Managers, Goldwind Interface Manager, and the Goldwind construction team for the Koruson 1 Cluster project situated in Noupoort.Responsibilities:Documentation Oversight:

• Evaluate contractor method statements and validate documentation.
• Ensure effective management of documents using the Project Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation and review OEM equipment drawings for conformity.

Turbine Erection Oversight:

• Supervise turbine component handling, assembly, and erection processes.
• Offer technical assistance during wind farm construction phases.
• Conduct inspections on equipment, materials, and erected turbines to ensure compliance with set specifications.

Quality Assurance:

• Establish punch list systems for addressing any deficiencies.
• Conduct training sessions for contractors on erection standards.
• Assist in maintaining quality management documentation and preparing non-conformance reports (NCRs).

Testing and Commissioning:

• Witness turbine testing and commissioning exercises.
• Monitor turbines to ensure compliance with pertinent standards.
• Aid in commissioning tasks while adhering to ethical conduct guidelines.

Health & Safety:

• Assist HSE Officers in implementing the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Plan.
• Guarantee compliance with environmental management plans (EMPr's).

Contractor Coordination:

• Participate in meetings with contractors and gather daily progress reports.
• Assist in tracking project advancement and validating milestone payment claims.

Communication and Reporting:

• Maintain effective communication with project teams and stakeholders.
• Fulfill construction reporting duties and assist in both internal and external reporting requirements.

Design and Engineering Assistance:

• Review technical acceptance procedures and contribute to planning activities.

Planning:

• Oversee work zones, adhere to schedules, and monitor milestone accomplishments.
• Support the transition processes between contractors and commissioning tasks.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Coordinate activities with Turbine Supply, BOP Contractor, Owner's Engineer, and adjacent wind projects.

Requirements

• Educational background in Engineering or Construction (BSc, BTech, or equivalent).
• A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Turbine Engineer/Technician in renewable energy projects.
• Proactive approach with strong interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication abilities coupled with proficient report writing skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Willingness to work on-site in Noupoort, Northern Cape.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and meeting medical fitness requirements are mandatory.
