Our client based in Port Elizabeth is currently looking to employ a Truck Sales Executive.

Requirements:

  • Capable of conversing with people in a lucid and pleasant manner.
  • Have the ability to qualify customers, overcome objections and to close a sale.
  • Have a clean driving license.
  • Have a code 10 driving license.
  • Have up-to-date knowledge of vehicle legislation, consumer legislation and trade practices.
  • Capable of accurate used vehicle valuation.
  • Be available at all times to affect a sale.
  • Be available at all times for update training.
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
  • To sell the maximum number of new and used vehicles and obtain the best profit available within the corporate sales programme.
  • To ensure the customer is aware of all available accessories and extended warranties.
  • To ensure all avenues of finance are explored to provide the customer with best finance facilities.
  • To ensure the highest degree of Customer Satisfaction at all times in accordance with Company sales policy to ensure future repeat sales.
Improved Profitability:
  • To introduce and follow up on new suitable sales prospects on a weekly basis.
  • To ensure Pre-Delivery Inspections and any necessary repairs are carried out prior to delivery to customer.
  • To report monthly/quarterly on agreed performance ratios, comparing actual with targeted performance.
Customer Service and Satisfaction:
  • To ensure all transactions are completed within 30 days.
  • To examine all transactions on a weekly basis and advise on how service may be improved to customer.
  • To deal with all customer queries within 48 hours of query being raised.
  • To ensure that all invoices, statements, and other communications to customers are clearly comprehensible to the layman.
Expenditure:
  • To purchase and sell vehicles which have been accurately appraised after approval has been given by the Sales Manager.
Personnel:
  • To liaise and agree time schedules for preparation and sales of all vehicles.
  • To ensure showroom and forecourt stock are clean and serviceable for demonstration to prospective customers.
  • To liaise with Sales Administration on availability of pipeline stock.
Operational:
  • Identification of credit and service requirements.
Staff:
  • To ensure immediate communication of operational sales to all other Sales Executives and administration to maintain accurate stock availability information.
  • To ensure that personal appearance is impeccable at all times.
Administration:
  • To ensure details of all vehicle transactions are accurately recorded and registered with Sales Administration Office.
  • To review daily activities, promotions, sales, targets, and other activities with Sales Manager.
  • To ensure all payments for vehicles are complete and correct for each transaction, i.e., clearance of outstanding instalment sale agreement and cheques forwarded for payment. Ensure approval of any new finance agreement.
  • To ensure observance of safety and security of people, vehicles, and property at all times, reporting any known faults or hazards.
Communications:
  • To ensure utmost clarity in all contact with customer.
  • To ensure that customers' needs are accurately qualified.
  • To establish and maintain a rapport with all potential and actual customers that enhances their image of the company.
  • To ensure the Sales Manager is aware of all transactions, proposals, and personal whereabouts on all occasions.
  • To liaise with other Sales Executives to ensure availability of cover when demonstrating vehicles to customers.
  • To ensure all customers are notified of delays, changes in requirements and specification of vehicles outstanding, ensuring smooth conclusion of vehicle handover.
Marketing:
  • To participate in planning sales campaigns and promotions to maximise sales penetration.
Finance:
  • To discuss any pricing policy changes affecting vehicle sales daily with Sales Manager.
