Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor pre-delivery loading procedures by:?

Checking of cargo against a specific invoice? Capturing of waybills? Generate and print Triton waybills and stickers? Generate manifest? Close off and generate back-stamp file for client? Handling and resolving all invoice and waybill related queries on behalf of the client? Filing of client's invoices? Ensure that all goods are packed according to the correct destination, ensuring that the correct stationery is utilized? Correctly sorting of waybills according to correct destination? Identify cargo in terms of damages, shortages, type and verifying waybills against cargo stickers? Creating scanning numbers for delivery and collection lists? Scanning parcels into trucks for delivery and assist with cargo handling?

Monitoring vehicle debriefing/off-loading procedures by:?

Offloading of in-house cargo received at the Triton depot? Directing parcel sorting into destination area / location? Verifying waybill against parcel and parcel stickers? Scanning parcels into Freightware by waybills and submitting to data capturers? Checking scanning on system?


REQUIREMENTS:



Grade 12 (Matric) minimum?? 2 to 3 years working experience within freight/transport?? Basic understanding of Freightware or similar freight management system? IT Knowledge?? In department routing within area of operation? Understanding of freight packaging requirements including hazardous chemicals, and load distribution? Computer operations? Commercial arithmetic calculations? Basic technical understanding of motor vehicles and general traffic ordinances? A high degree of integrity required? Presentable and of a professional manner at all times? * Own transport to and from work?
