LOCATION: Stellenbosch, Hybrid Work Environment.

Our client a fast-growing financial technology company operating in Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda and South Africa. They deliver personal lending products through online, mobile phone and branch channels. The company is well supported by strong shareholders and a board of directors with vast experience in entrepreneurship and lending.

• They now seek a treasury execution & operations lead to join their team. You will report to the group CFO. xe2x80x9cThere is more detail, planning and analytics to the role, as opposed to active fundraising. The core focus is to build out the treasury risk management process (and systems if required), while in each country we have relationship teams who will xe2x80x9cclosexe2x80x9d dealsxe2x80x9d.

There will be some travel to get to know the areas but once that is done- two trips per annum expected. You are professional, youthful, skilled and high energy. You have had experience in a bank or similar treasury with great systems experience and strong attention to detail.

JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

• You will be required to assume ownership and responsibility of all execution of treasury operations across the group;
• You will be responsible for executing accurately against the defined treasury strategy, liquidity management, reviewing of legal agreements, compliance within lending arrangements, internal and external reporting, continuous operational improvement across all treasury functions, foreign currency exposure risk management and cash forecasting supervision;
• You will be required to balance financial diligence with entrepreneurial energy.

CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• You are analytically adept;
• You have a healthy spirit of adventure and sense of humour;

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• You have a postgraduate degree in commerce, engineering or similar; or a CA(SA)/MBA;
• You have a minimum of 5 years current, relevant corporate treasury experience;
• You have lending industry experience -
• You have a passion for African business and willingness to work in the developing world context.
