Treasury Accountant

to join our team.

As a

Treasury Accountant

you are responsible for maintaining, recording, and analyzing financial information, and for ensuring that the organization's financial records and reports comply with accounting standards and regulations.

WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS



System management:

Maintaining and updating the systems and software used for accounting, such as accounting software, financial management software, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, to ensure that all financial transactions are recorded in an accurate and timely manner regarding banking and intercompany.

Cash management:

Monitoring cash flow and liquidity, forecasting cash needs, and arranging for financing as needed.

Risk management:

Identifying, assessing, and managing risks to the organization's financial health and operations, such as foreign exchange risk, interest rate risk, and credit risk.

Treasury reporting:

Preparing and presenting financial reports to management and other stakeholders, such as cash flow statements, balance sheets, and income statements.

Compliance:

Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.

Banking:

Managing relationships with banks and other financial institutions, and negotiating terms for loans, lines of credit, and other financial services.

Treasury system:

Maintaining and updating the systems and software used for treasury management, such as treasury management systems, accounting software, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Debt management:

Managing the organization's debt, including issuing bonds and other debt securities, and managing the organization's credit rating.

Reconciliation:

Reconciling the intercompany accounts between different legal entities to ensure that the balances are accurate and that any discrepancies are identified and resolved.

Elimination:

Eliminating any intercompany transactions in the consolidated financial statements to ensure that the financials accurately reflect the performance of each legal entity.

Transfer pricing:

Ensuring that the transfer pricing policy is being followed and that the prices being charged between the legal entities are reasonable and in line with market prices.

Journal entries

: Recording intercompany transactions in the appropriate general ledger accounts, ensuring that all transactions are properly classified and that all necessary supporting documentation is retained.

Reporting:

Preparing and providing financial reporting on intercompany transactions, including balance sheet accounts, income statements and any other relevant information.

Compliance:

Ensuring that the intercompany accounting function is in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.

Communication

: Communicating with other departments within the organization to ensure that intercompany transactions are properly recorded and that any issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Auditing:

Coordinating with external auditors during year-end audits to provide them with the necessary information and to ensure that all intercompany transactions are accounted for correctly.

Minimum Required Experience & Qualification



BCom Degree 3+ years in an accounting position SAGE or similar ERP experience Experience with implementing and monitoring internal controls Experience with fixed asset management
