In this role you will be reporting to LBU Supply Chain Manager and will be responsible to support business function and/or business excellence centers to ensure goods are shipped whilst meeting quality, legal and costs parameters, develop, maintain and improve transport/logistics processes to optimize inbound and/or outbound product and material delivery to external and internal clientsYour responsibilities Supporting the development and implementation of improved processes and systems and maintaining master dataUtilizing various transportation software systems to facilitate material movement, planning and schedulingPreparing and updating monthly logistics schedule to ensure deliveries to production locations and coordinating product delivery schedule with customersCoordinating daily activities to track location and movement of inventory finished goods and raw materials via all transport modes, and re-routing freight as needed to meet demands and minimizing costCommunicating fulfilment status to logistics and sales organizations as appropriate, working closely with transport service providers to assure efficient and effective execution of processesAssisting in obtaining necessary transport permits and codes and preparing proper transportation paperwork and export documentation Your background Bachelorxe2x80x99s Degree in relevant fieldExperience in logistics, preferably with a mix of air/sea/truckIdeally 2- 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience of Shipping or Import/Export procedures & documentationHave a strong understanding and application of customs formalities, good working knowledge and understanding of SAP, good understanding of the way the customs HTS work and confidently apply HTS to ABB products with support of the businessComprehensive understanding of export control laws and how to apply export control classificationsFluency in English language is mandatory More about usABB's Measurement & Analytics division is among the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of smart instrumentation and analyzers.
