Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transportation Operations Manager to join our dynamic transportation team at Craig and Sons Bus Services. In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations of our transportation network, ensuring efficient and effective logistics management while contributing to the overall success of our mission.
Responsibilities
Assist in managing the transportation operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and monitoring transportation activities for optimal efficiency
Collaborate with the Stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for improving service delivery and operational performance
Analyze transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
Coordinate communication between drivers, clients, and internal teams to resolve operational issues
Participate in the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of transportation personnel
Support the development and management of transportation budgets and forecast

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
3+ years of experience in transportation or logistics operations
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Preferred:
Experience with transportation management systems and logistics software
Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements
Previous experience in a management role
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools
Familiarity with supply chain management software
Experience with route optimization tools and GPS tracking systems
