Transport Manager

Job Description

The purpose of the role is to lead, plan and successfully implement all aspects of transportation operations within the branch. This involves optimising the coordination of all transport requirements in the last mile process, maintaining compliance with vehicle and road traffic regulations, and leading the team to ensure efficient, safe and cost-effective transport services.
REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma (NQF Level 6) in transport/ Operationss Management/ Logistics Management/ Supply Chain Management.
  • Road Traffic Management System (RTMS) Certification would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a transport management role within a fleet/ logistics environment.
  • Minimum 1-2 years management experience.
  • Stron organisational skills: must be able to coordinate and manage a large number of vehicles and associated tasks.
  • Analytical mindset: ability to analyse data such as fuel consumption, maintenece records, and meticulousness are crucial.
