Job Description
Our client in Logistics is seeking a Transport Co-Ordinator to join their team.
Location: Cape Town
Job type: Permanent - on site
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and arrange loads for the following day
- Plan and arrange same day loads if required
- Arrange transport for imports
- Arrange templates for Transporters
- Forward relevant information to the Clearing agent for cross border loads
- Send and discuss rolling plan with different transporters
- Update current day loads and send out report to Logs
- Ensure that the system is updated
- Recon rolling plan
- Ensure that deviations are captured in the system for any issue out of the norm
- Handling queries
- Arrange plug ins if port goes wind bound or pre loading and ensure that the system is updated
- Arrange x-huals for containers that are plugged in
- Matric as a minimum qualification
- 2-3 Years experience in a similar position
- Computer literate
- Communication
- Organizational
- Ability to work under pressure
