Job Description

Position: Transport Controller
As a Transport Controller, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation operations of our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the daily transportation schedule for our fleet of vehicles
- Monitor and track the movement of all vehicles to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Liaise with drivers and other team members to ensure smooth communication and execution of tasks
- Manage and maintain accurate records of all transportation activities, including fuel usage, mileage, and vehicle maintenance
- Identify and resolve any issues or delays in transportation, and implement solutions to improve efficiency
- Ensure compliance with all transportation laws and regulations
- Monitor and analyze transportation costs and make recommendations for cost-saving measures
- Develop and maintain relationships with transportation vendors and negotiate contracts
- Train and supervise transportation team members to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Collaborate with other departments to improve overall company operations and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of transportation laws and regulations
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management software
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively
