Transmission Project Manager
Location: Midrand
Duration: 9 months
Job responsibilities will include:

• Manage Capex, investment and cashflow efficiently, increase rollout effectiveness and drive new products and opportunities.
• Manage the Transmission Core (Core Fibre, DWDM, IP MPLS, 5G Core) and Access (MW, Fibre, 5G) capacity rollout programme including special and coverage projects for all regions to ensure regional and Transmission KPIs are achieved.
• Optimization of current site solutions, methods, processes, power, RAN, Transmission and Core architectures.
• Accountable for weekly reporting, on-time network capacity delivery, product quality, cost-saving, and operation.
• Develop, maintain, and distribute standard project management deliverables for the successful rollout of sites, products or services, including implementation plan, project schedule, project budget and variances, issues & action items log, meeting minutes, risks assessment and contingencies.
• Vendor management of installation contractors and equipment suppliers to ensure governance and rollout plans are met and aligned to the KPIs.
• Inventory management through JIT approach and ensuring MRNs are raised and issued from the warehouse for multiple site deployment.

Experience and qualifications:

• Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Degree / Diploma / Postgraduate qualification essential.
• Project Management qualification essential.
• Budget Management experience.
• 5 8 Years relevant experience in Telecommunications.
• 5 8 Years experience of Transmission (Core, Microwave, Fibre, Leased Lines and Satellite) and Radio Access Network 2G, 3G, LTE and 5G)
