Job Description

Transformer Test Officer



Testing of Small and Large transformers up to and including 7500kVA



Operating overhead cranes in department (licenced operator or only).

Ensure only authorised personnel to be in test bay

Safely operating all supply equipment in department

Safely operating all measuring equipment in department

Checking and tightening of all core clamping structures

Perform all tests as prescribed by sans 780/iec60076

Preliminary tests to be performed on all transformers when required

All tests to be recorded in preliminary test book then stored digitally on the test bay computer

Assist in all transformer testing as required

Ensuring all winding/job specifications are returned to line manager/supervisor on completion

Diploma in Electrical Engineering /Trade in Electrical with 5+ Years experience .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R22000,00 - R28000,00 per month

Work Location: In person
