Umtiza Farmers' Corp, a part of the SSK group, currently has the following career opportunity available in the Ciskei Region. The Training Officer will focus on supporting and empowering farmers and customers throughtraining, technical support, and agricultural advice, while actively promoting the Umtiza brand within rural and communal farming communities.
Responsibilities
Responsible for planning, developing, and delivering effective training sessions. Advise on best practices in crop and animal farming. Assess training needs and adapt to suit different communities. Build strong, trust-based relationships with rural communities. Foster positive collaboration with local institutions. Understanding local cultural and social values in rural and communal settings. Travel to deliver training and to engage with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
A tertiary diploma in Agriculture or a related field At least 5 years of experience in the Agricultural sector Fluent in both isiXhosa and English is essential A valid South African driver's license is required Possession of an AVCASA certificate will be an advantage Strong communication and facilitation skills in Agriculture
