Job Description

This role will work closely with the KZN Department of Health to train facility, sub-district and district staff to improve data use. This will include training on data capture, validation and interpretation as well as training on specific data use cases required for the implementation of the grant.

1. Plan, co-ordinate and implement training programmes for facility, sub-district and district staff in order to ensure effective use of data to improve TB, HIV and other health outcomes by:
o Developing training modules as per the grant implementation plan,
o Providing coaching, mentoring and supervision to staff in order to ensure that staff are competent to use new and existing tools, reports, dashboards and quality improvement methods,
2. Monitor, evaluate and analyse training programmes and methods in order to ensure that training is relevant and effective in achieving project goals,
3. Collaborate with trainers from KZN DoH on training plans and schedules in order to ensure effective communication and to meet the implementation plan goals
4. Participate in project and department of health meetings and provide feedback to stakeholders as required

1. Relevant Health or Allied Health Qualification(s) from a recognised tertiary institution

2. Sound experience in planning, coordinating and implementing training initiatives

3. Sound communication and presentation skills

4. Must possess a valid South African Code B Driverxe2x80x99s License and own vehicle

5. Understanding of the health systems and patient care within South Africa

6. Must have 2 years or more experience working as a trainer in a healthcare setting

Skills required

1. Good verbal and written communication skills in English

2. Good interpersonal skills and communication

3. High computer literacy

4. Must be willing to travel frequently to work with facility teams
