Position Overview
Woolpert is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as full-time Trainee Geospatial Editors based in our Johannesburg and Cape Town office on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of an extension based on performance and project needs.
We are committed to developing young talent by providing hands-on experience with cutting-edge geospatial technologies in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
Essential Functions:

• Basic geospatial digital map interpretation and editing, including daily processing/editing of geospatial data.
• Evaluate accuracy and efficiency, and ensuring compliance to applicable project and industry aerial mapping products standards.
• Assists more experienced technicians with various duties, maintenance, and other tasks.
• Responsible for following Quality Management Procedures as designed.
• Management of individual deadlines based on work tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Matric with Geography is required.
• Esri qualification will be added advantage
• A National Diploma (completed or partially completed/dropped out) in GIS, Geomatics, Surveying, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related technical field is required. (Added advantage)
• First preference will be given to candidates with a completed or partially completed diploma and relevant coursework.
