Job Summary
Hire Resolve's client is looking for a highly skilled Traffic & Transportation Engineer to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape.
Responsibilities
- Conduct traffic impact assessments to evaluate the impact of new developments on existing transportation infrastructure.
- Develop and implement traffic management plans to ensure the safe movement of vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists.
- Design and optimize traffic signal timings and signal coordination plans.
- Analyze traffic data and propose improvements to enhance traffic flow and reduce congestion.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and design transportation infrastructure projects.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
- Keep up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in traffic and transportation engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional registration Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in traffic and transportation engineering.
- Proficiency in traffic engineering software, such as AutoCad or Sidra
- Modelling experience (Vissim/Visum)
- Salary: R700K/yr - R900K/yr, salary negotiable
