Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Traffic Health and Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on road-related construction projects. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring safety plans, conducting risk assessments, and providing training to ensure a safe working environment. The officer will collaborate with project teams to maintain high safety standards and mitigate hazards on road construction sites.
Requirements
Registered with SACPCMP as a Construction Health and Safety Officer Proven experience in road-related construction projects In-depth knowledge of South African health and safety legislation, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act Strong communication and training skills to educate site personnel on safety protocols Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and incident investigations Proficiency in preparing detailed safety reports and documentation Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites Certification in First Aid and/or Fire Safety is an advantage
