Trade Tested Electrician
Job Description
RedCat Recruitment is seeking a trade tested and experienced TRADE TESTED ELECTRICIAN for a large concern, position based in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands area.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Grade 12.
Trade tested Electrician.
Theory training in the electronic trade, equivalent to N3.
Valid drivers license / own reliable vehicle.
Basic training in AC and DC variable speed drives.
Basic training in PLDs.
Daily plant checks.
Work shifts as required on a roster system.
Respond to production plant breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs in the shortest possible
time.
Repairs to motors, control equipment and other electrical equipment.
Accurately record all work done on job cards or on planned maintenance schedules.
Report all serious defects and/or defects which could not be repaired.
Complete planned maintenance schedules.
Carry out safety inspections on equipment and plant.
Undertake installation and modification of equipment and plant as instructed.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of electricity, electronic equipment and the tools used in the industry.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of power, reticulation and process type of equipment, ranging from 12V to 11Kv.
