(Market related) We are seeking a Toolmaker for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape.
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
- Trade Tested Toolmaker with Engineering Diploma/- NTC3
- 5 yearxe2x80x99s post trade experience as a toolmaker
- Automotive/Manufacturing experience (press tooling specific)
- Able to read drawings and good with problem solving techniques
- General knowledge of production & quality systems
- SPC analysis experience
- Implementation of work instructions and process instructions
- Controlling tools in pre-heat / post heat oven
- Documenting tool changes and control of all tools used, damaged, etc.
- Setting up all aspects of tooling and associated equipment required for production / operation of press. Maintain tool register
- Straightening press tool changing, set up and maintenance
- Recognize breakdowns on tooling and rectify
- Control and exchange consumables used for tooling maintenance
- Comply with all safety standards as specified
- Eliminate immediate malfunctions according to action measures on tooling
- SPC measures and measuring of components used on tooling during production
- Picking of parts and reading drawings
- Controlling and/or setting master
- Recognize faulty tools and correct as required
