Our client has an opportunity available for a Tool Room Shift Leader based in Durban

Requirements:

Matric with Mathematics.
Technical Drawing, N4
Trade tested Mechanical Fitter and Turner is a must
Press tooling Experience is a must
Injection Moulding Experience is a must
5-10 years' experience in the Manufacturing and Maintenance of press tooling and plastic injection moulds.
5 years' experience in programming a wire cutter and milling machine using Edgecam.
Programming punch press's using Alfa -cam.
Ability use NX and inventor design packaging's to manufacture and modify cad models designed on these packages.

Responsibilities:

Control and coordinate activities of the Tool Room.
Must have been in a similar role previously, re managing and controlling of the tool room
Ensure project dates and timing plans are meet.
Ensure Tool maintenance plans and repairs are completed for production demand.
Allocate tasks and responsibilities to relevant Tool Makers.
Ensure Tool Makers adhere to the company disciplinary code and hold them responsible for ill-discipline.
Create flow charts to control the work of projects.
Assist and advise Tool Makers with repairs and modification to Tooling.
Liaise with purchasing department on purchasing spares parts, consumables and stock items.
Ensure compliance with the OHS Act and educate and train employees on machine safety.
