RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Roster cashiers to ensure adequate staff are on duty
-Managing cashiers
-Training new cashiers
-Planning and monitoring staff tea and lunch breaks
-Assisting with customer complaints at till point and escalating it to the appropriate Managers
-Make sure shop information always runs smoothly
-Do all card authorisations (price changes, refunds and discounts)
-Ensure trolley assistants available to pack over trolleys
-Ensure that all till areas are kept clean, neat and tidy
-Manage cash up process in the absence of a Cashing Up Administrator
-Perform full cashier duty whenever required
-To ensure friendly and efficient customer service at all till areas
-Perform any other tasks as required by Senior Management to ensure the continued smooth operation of the company and to meet the company aim of high standards and high customer service.
CRITERIA NEEDED:
- Retail experience is highly advantageous
-Computer literate
-Ability to multi-task and prioritise duties, coupled with excellent attention to detail
-Excellent communication skills on all levels
-Must be self motivated and assertive
-1 year supervisory experience
-Hands on approach coupled with high energy levels
-Excellent planning, organising and problem solving abilities
