We are seeking a dedicated Textile Department Supervisor to oversee our canvas production department.RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the Textile department, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and effectively.
• Manage a team of sewing machinists, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to optimize productivity and quality.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control standards to ensure a safe work environment and consistent product quality.
• Collaborate with other departments such as printing department and cutting department to streamline processes and address any production challenges.
• Monitor equipment performance and maintenance schedules, coordinating repairs or replacements as needed to minimize downtime.
• Provide stock counts on raw materials and supplies necessary for canvas production, maintaining adequate inventory levels while minimizing waste.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall department performance.
• Provide daily feedback on daily production outputs and inventory levels.

IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST BE:

• Team player
• Have good troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual with own reliable transport to and from the Factory.
• 5 - 10 year experience in a sewing department environment.
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in textile or canvas production.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve production goals.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Solid understanding of production processes, equipment, and quality control principles Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
