Description
Main job functions:

• We're seeking a highly skilled Test Architect / Test Manager with a strong software development background who has successfully transitioned into test automation and quality engineering.
• The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with test automation tools, a deep understanding of software development lifecycles, and the ability to design and implement scalable and efficient test architectures.
• This role blends leadership with technical expertise, ideal for someone passionate about building robust testing frameworks and guiding QA teams to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Test Architecture & Strategy:

• Design and implement end-to-end test architectures for complex systems with various clients.
• Define testing strategy and test automation frameworks that align with development and deployment pipelines.
• Evaluate and recommend test tools, libraries, and frameworks best suited for the client's tech stack and environment.

Test Automation:

• Develop and maintain test automation suites across UI, API, and performance testing.
• Lead implementation of CI/CD pipelines with integrated testing stages.
• Establish code quality metrics and automated gatekeeping in CI workflows.

Leadership & Management:

• Manage and mentor QA/test engineers, setting clear goals and development plans.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure a quality-first approach.
• Oversee test planning, resource allocation, execution, and defect management for multiple projects with various clients.

Process improvement:

• Drive continuous improvement of QA processes and practices across the SDLC.
• Champion the adoption of shift-left testing practices, TDD/BDD, and quality metrics.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Communicate test progress, test results, and quality metrics to project stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership in planning and architecture meetings.

Minimum Requirements

• IT Degree or 3 year National Diploma required/similar qualifications.
• ISTQB or Test Manager certification.
• Proven experience progressing from Software Developer to QA/Test Engineer to Test Architect or QA Manager.
• Experience in regulated or high-compliance environments (e.g., fintech, healthcare, automotive).
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of security and accessibility testing.
• Coding background (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#).
• Deep knowledge of test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, JUnit/TestNG, etc.
• Experience architecting test environments for microservices, APIs, cloud-based platforms, or enterprise systems.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Xray).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
