Job Title: Test Analyst

Location: Pretoria, South Africa

Work Type: Onsite, 5 days a week (non-negotiable)

Contract Duration: 6-12 Months Fixed Term

Annual Salary: ZAR 216,000 - 300,000 (Gross)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Test Analyst to join our client's Core Banking Enhancements Project team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end functional and integration testing, ensuring that business, technical, and industry requirements are fully met.

You will work closely with project stakeholders to plan, design, and execute test cases, report defects, and manage SIT (System Integration Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) phases.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed test scenarios, test plans, and test cases from business and technical requirements.

Conduct functional, integration, backend (database), and end-to-end testing.

Validate that all business and technical requirements are met.

Manage and coordinate SIT and UAT execution, including reporting and sign-off.

Design and maintain manual testing frameworks; assist with automation testing when possible.

Collaborate with internal and external teams during end-to-end and industry testing.

Produce documentation including test reports, defect logs, regression packs, and closure reports.

Minimum Requirements

IT Diploma or Degree in Software Development or related field.

5-8 years of experience in software testing, including functional and integration testing.

Experience working on banking or financial systems preferred.

Strong understanding of HP ALM, testing methodologies, and testing best practices.

Exposure to SWIFT standards and ISO 20022 payment message formats is advantageous.

Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

Experience with BPT (Business Process Testing) Framework.

Exposure to automation testing tools (e.g., UFT, Selenium, Tosca).

ISTQB Foundation or Test Analyst Certification.

Certification in test automation will be an advantage.
