Job Description

Candidate must have a good understanding of Aftersales related processes, i.e, repairs of equipment, service and maintenance of switchgear, transformers, installation and commissioning and associated site related work.

Ensure the company meets its tender commitments in a cost-effective manner and ensuring client satisfaction.

Arrange for collection of tender documents from various customers.

Ensure that tender closing dates are met.

Prepare and distribute product budget prices.

Ensure tender system on the computer is updated and distribute product budget prices.

Ensure existing paperwork is still relevant and update if required.

Ensure budgeted gross margin is being met.

Should a tender require a lower than budgeted gross margin, motivate and obtain permission for its submittal.

Ensure that the signing authority regarding tender levels are adhered to.

Aid customers in compiling requirements.

Compile tender pricing/documents from customer specifications.

Submit tender to customer.

Follow up on tender on a technical/commercial basis.

If a tender becomes an order xe2x80x93 check all commercial terms and technical details vs tender before loading.

Take out contract number and update marketing system.

Allocate contract to contracts engineer.

Help consultants/customers with budget prices.

Control information flow between company and client.

Act as company representative to customer.

Arrange for visits by clients to view product range and manufacturing process; demonstrations and training.

Promote company image.

Assist Contracts with circuit and logic design when required.

Vet different suppliers for most effective technically acceptable equipment.

Keep all filing, relevant to the tender, up to date.

Determine which files are to be destroyed.

Ensure that company is obtaining its budgeted share of the market at a reasonable price.

Ensure that the tendering engineer behaves in a professional manner at all times.

N6 or equivalent with acquired knowledge of MV equipment, Electrical systems xe2x80x93 8 yearsxe2x80x99 experience.

Expertise in tendering with commercial exposure.

Extensive knowledge of Aftersales relates services. (Service, maintenance, installations, commissioning, site reticulation, etc)
