An exciting opportunity is available for a Television, Digital and Print Media Buyer to be based at the Head Office in Randburg.
Television, Digital and Print Media Buyer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
- Running figures monthly and updating media budget sheet
- At nett
- At rate
- Buying/booking of TV advertising on various stations and specific channels for a variety of products
- Allocating flighting codes based on specific budget and products.
- Communicating with various media houses and stations
- Updating of flighting codes with Telmar every 2 weeks if required
- Creating flighting codes for new adverts
- Creating, sending, and monitoring execution of advert edit requests with production houses.
- Capturing package contracts on Telmar to gauge viewerships
- Monitoring channel uploads
- Quarter hour analysis of all channels within set target audiences every quarter
- Making sure that contracts align to invoices and media budget (reconciliation)
- Digital filing and sending out of mpegs of commercials to stores for new products.
- Create and send out ad flightings to internal stakeholders once a week.
- Filing of all documentation and correspondence
- Negotiating prices and purchasing of print advertising in newspapers & magazines
- Desk top publishing ensuring that all material is production ready.
- Telmar and Microsoft Office
- Advanced skills in Excel preferable
- Media buying Experience is Essential
- Be proactive, attentive to detail and a multitasker.
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Strong negotiation skills
