HIRING: Tech-Savvy Shop Assistant

We are a retail shop selling 3D, home, office printers, electronics and consumables. We are looking for an Afrikaans & English speaking, energetic assistant to join our team who is tech-savvy and has a keen interest in 3D Printing and electronics.

Do you love working with people and trying to figure out why tech works the way it does? Does up-and-coming tech, electronics and 3D printing get you excited? We would love to hear from you.

Must be able to speak English and Afrikaans fluently.

Applicant must reside in George

Hours:

Negotiable, either of the following options available based on agreement:

Half day + Saturdays:

Monday - Saturdays (08h30 - 13h00) - 1x Saturday off a month

Full day + Saturdays:

Monday - Friday (08h30 - 17h30) & Saturday (08h30 - 13h00) - 1x Saturday off a month

Shop Location: York Street Boulevard, York Street, George

Basic Roles & Responsibilities, but not limited to:

Providing excellent customer service

Efficient processing of transactions at the till point

Stock replenishment and counting

Ensure stock is correctly priced and displayed.

Liaising with suppliers

Booking and packing orders

General shop housekeeping

Assisting customers and team with sales and service

Attending to customer queries and following up

Key competencies

Be a team player

Take initiative and be forward-thinking

Have good communication skills

Highly motivated and self-driven

Technical minded

Technical experience is an advantage

Previous sales experience is an advantage

Quick learner and eager to learn

Professional and neat

Must be computer literate

Skill sets that will be an advantage:

Knowledge and skills on 3D printers

3D printer drawing skills

Electronics and IOT interest and knowledge

Salary: Based on experience and hours
