The Early Payment System (EPS) is a fintech platform designed to provide early settlement

and invoice discounting solutions to Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs). EPS

enables suppliers to access verified invoice value within 24-48 hours, bridging the liquidity

gap created by extended payment terms and limited access to traditional credit.

By accelerating payments, EPS improves SMME cash flow, enhances supply chain resilience

for Anchor Corporates, and offers scalable, low-risk investment opportunities. EPS is

transforming the South African supply chain finance market by driving financial inclusion,

SME empowerment, and economic resilience.

Role Overview

The Technology Intern will provide technology support across EPS operations, working

closely with Technical Support partners and API vendors. The role includes:

? Managing escalated technical queries from the Client Service team.

? Supporting EPS platforms (Portal, Call Centre, hosting, networking).

? Managing API and vendor partners to ensure SLA compliance.

? Overseeing the EPS SFTP platform for secure file exchange of payments,

collections, and reconciliations.

? Acting as custodian of the EPS IT Policy, ensuring its implementation and reporting

requirements.

This role offers exposure to fintech technology, SLA-driven vendor management, and IT

governance, making it an ideal opportunity for a graduate seeking experience in AI, ML, data, and digital financial services.

Required Skills & Qualifications

? Education: Completed a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer

Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

? Certifications: Certifications in AI/ML (e.g., TensorFlow, AWS ML, Azure AI

Fundamentals), Data Analytics (Google Data Analytics, Power BI, SQL),

Networking (e.g., Cisco CCNA), or Software Development will be advantageous.

? Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of APIs, networking, IT policy,

troubleshooting, and SFTP/file exchange processes. Exposure to AI, Machine

Learning (ML), data analytics, and software development practices is preferred.

? Tools & Systems: Familiarity with programming languages (Python, Java, C#),

databases, cloud platforms, helpdesk tools, CRM, or call centre platforms.

? Data & Analytics: Ability to perform data analysis using SQL, Excel, or

visualization tools to support reporting.

? Experience: Internship, project work, or entry-level exposure in technology support,

AI/ML, data analysis, or fintech/software development is an added advantage.

? Communication: Strong ability to explain technical issues and insights clearly to

non-technical stakeholders.

? Problem-Solving: Analytical and innovative approach to troubleshooting, escalation

management, and continuous improvement.
