A technician is responsible for installing, testing and maintaining GPS tracking devices in various types of vehicles. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently to ensure accurate installations.
key responsibilities:
Install GPS tracking devices in vehicles, ensuring secure and functional placement.
Test and troubleshoot installed units to confirm proper operation.
diagnose and repair any issues with tracking devices, wiring or connections.
Follow installation guidelines and safety procedures to prevent damage to vehicles.
Maintain accurate record of installations, including vehicle details and device information.
Provide customers with basic instructions on how to use the tracking system.
Work closely with scheduling team to complete assigned installations on time.
Stay updated on new tracking technologies and installation techniques.
Requirements:
Previous experience in automative electrical work or GPS installations is preferred.
Basic knowledge of vehicle wiring and electrical systems.
Ability to use tools such as multimeters, soldering equipment and hand tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and customer service.
Ability to work independently and follow technical instructions.
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel.
No criminal record
