Technician


We are looking for a Technician to conduct daily corrective maintenance on automatic fare gates, ticket vending machines, parking gates and station control terminals. You will need proven field service experience and have the ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment throughout the Gauteng region. The position requires working on flexible shifts and changing work schedules. Because of flexible changing shifts, own transport is a requirement. This position requires a background in IT and electronic diagnostics and repair.

Responsibilities

Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions Follow all company's filed procedures and protocols Build positive relationships with customers Fault diagnosis Troubleshooting Capture line replacement unit Conduct monthly preventative maintenance on all equipments Compile daily fault report forms and submit for processing. Assist with patch reload when required Monitor transactions upload daily and action accordingly Installation of additional equipment Conduct daily corrective maintenance on Automatic fare gates, Ticket Vending Machines, Parking gates, station control terminals POS, parking server, Portable verify Units & bus validators Collect and drop off faulty and repaired spares Reload software on corrupted validators, reimage gates, Tvms, POS and PVUS Remote support to customer service

Requirements



Proven Field Service experience English literacy Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules Familiarity with mobile tools and applications Technical degree or certification
