Job Description


Formal Education:

  • Matric (NQF 3) compulsory
  • Tertiary IT Qualification (NQF5 or higher; i.e., Diploma, Degree)
Experience:
  • Azure Virtual Desktop:
  • Administration & Maintenance of Azure Resource Groups
  • Understanding of Azure Virtualization and Logic app automation
  • Proven PowerShell scripting
  • Full concept of Application Virtualization
  • Windows 10 OS Support
  • MEMCM / Intune:
  • Microsoft Configuration Manager Infrastructure Support
  • Experience in Modern Desktop Management toolsets
  • Active Directory Group Policy creation and troubleshooting
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, VB/.Net, Java)
  • Networking knowledge (TCP/IP configuration & troubleshooting)
  • Advanced understanding of Azure AD, conditional access, MDM/MAM strategies, solutions, and policies
  • Experience in Win32 Application migration from SCCM to Intune
Technical / Legal Certification:
  • MCSA - Windows 10
  • MCSA - Cloud Platform
  • MCSE - Cloud Platform and Infrastructure
  • Azure xc3xa2xc2x80xc2x93 Administrator
  • Azure xc3xa2xc2x80xc2x93 Virtual Desktop
  • ITIL Version 3 or higher (recommended)
Responsibilities:
  • Support multiple platforms (SCCM, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop)
  • Consult with customers to determine application requirements
  • Implement and enhance Modern Desktop management toolsets
  • Stay updated on Microsoft service improvements
  • Facilitate technical testing and research for system upgrades and improvements
  • Develop automation scripts, utilities, and reports
  • Identify and develop integration layers with other workspace management tools
  • Perform daily health checks, configuration changes, and 3rd level stand-by support
  • Lead Azure Virtual Desktop incidents to resolution, including advanced issues and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Adapt responsibilities based on urgent needs
Skills and Competencies:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Configuration Manager (current branch) and IT operations
  • Proficient in Incident, Problem, and Change Management
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to support, cooperate, analyse, interpret, and organise tasks
  • Self-starter, pragmatic, and flexible
  • Decision-making, delivering results, and applying expertise in technology
