Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager with a background in the mining industry to join their team in the Northern Cape.
Responsibilities:
- Management of all technical services functions on site including Surveying, Chemistry, Hygiene and Safety.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation thereof.
- Implementation of SHERQ policies and procedures and ensuring that these are adhered to.
- Risk and quality management.
- Ensuring compliance to legal requirements.
- Departmental / team planning.
- Budgeting and cost control.
- People management including performance management and development.
- Section 7.4 and 2.6.1 MHSA appointments.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Management, Risk Management or Environmental Health.
- Matric certificate.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 10 years’ experience in technical services within the mining industry, with at least 5 years as Technical Services Manager.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, SHERQ systems, document management systems, design and draughting packages, LMS and PPMIS.
- Applicants must have South African citizenship and currently reside in South Africa.
