Job Overview
The role entails promoting and selling the company's lighting solutions and products across various markets, including architects, engineers, consultants, commercial entities, retail sectors, and diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Manage sales and marketing activities in Southern, Western, and Northern Cape Town, overseeing key accounts.
Extend sales efforts to other regions as required by expertise.
Travel to international trade fairs in Frankfort, Dusseldorf, Hong Kong, and China to scout for new product opportunities.
Develop relationships with retail and commercial clients.
Provide guidance and motivation to the sales team.
Meet monthly targets consistently.
Handle sales and marketing for Cape Town.
Forecasting and budgeting.
Expand and maintain the customer base.
Regularly update the Sales Force Automation (SFA) system.
Submit a weekly report to the National Sales Manager, detailing quotes, calls, ongoing projects, and any encountered issues.
Monitor promised delivery dates to clients, coordinating with production to ensure timely deliveries. Notify clients promptly if any delays occur.
Share industry-relevant information with the company.
Alert the company about existing or potential issues.
Manage the sample account.
Perform other reasonable duties as requested.
Job Requirements
Experience in the electrical industry, preferably in building/architectural/commercial or public lighting.
Ability to foster strong client relationships.
Presentable appearance.
Self-disciplined and hardworking.
Possession of a reliable, functional motor vehicle.
Valid drivers license.
Preference will be given to a younger person due to the long-distance traveling required.
