This role involves building strong relationships with channel partners, providing technical product support, and actively promoting the Orchard Agri product range. The representative will also assist end-users with best practice recommendations to ensure product performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Account Management
Develop and manage a portfolio of agricultural chemical distributors, agri co-ops, and retail outlets.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets aligned with divisional growth goals.
Execute strategic sales plans across assigned regions to expand market reach and product penetration.
Prepare and present professional sales proposals, pricing structures, and promotional offers.
2. Technical Support and Product Advisory:
Provide technical support and agronomic advice to distributors and their farmer clients.
Conduct on-site visits, product demonstrations, and training sessions to ensure proper usage and performance.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, pest/disease cycles, and competitor activity to offer sound recommendations.
3. Customer Relationship Development:
Build trusted, long-term relationships with key buyers and agronomists at partner companies.
Identify and develop new business opportunities through referrals and market networking.
Ensure regular follow-up to monitor satisfaction, usage trends, and future needs.
4. Reporting and Market Intelligence:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and customer engagements using the CRM system.
Submit regular reports on market conditions, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
Participate in trade shows, agricultural events, and product launches as a brand ambassador.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience:
At least 3 years' experience in Agricultural sales, Agro-inputs or related industry
Education:
A diploma/degree in Agriculture, Plant Science, Agronomy or related field
Industry Knowledge:
Solid knowledge of crop protection products and their technical applications
Other requirements:
Proven ability to meet sales targets a manage B2B customer relationships
Skills:
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Technical aptitude and problem solving abilities
Customer-oriented mindset with a passion for agriculture
Willingness to travel extensively with the assigned territory
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
