Job Summary
An established Aftermarket Industrial Distribution company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Sales Engineer to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent interpersonal skills, and proven experience in sales within the mining, minerals, or oil & gas industries.
Responsibilities:

• Manage distributor relationships and support sales operations in the Mpumalanga division.
• Understand, interpret, and provide solutions based on technical drawings and specifications.
• Apply strong technical knowledge and theory to solve customer challenges.
• Lead projects from planning to execution, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
• Supervise and motivate teams as required.
• Identify problems, propose solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred (N6 or higher considered).
• 3-5 years of solid sales experience in mining, coal operations, platinum, minerals, or oil & gas industries - mandatory.
• Strong technical background; ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Project management experience.
• Excellent people management and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with a strong, positive attitude.
• Eager to learn and grow within the business
