POSITION OVERVIEW
Based at Johannesburg Branch, to further strengthen our local Sales team, we are currently seeking a:
TECHNICAL SALES CONSULTANT (BAKERY INDUNSTRY) -
( Johannesburg, South Africa )
Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for: I ndependently managing projects related to bakery Ingredient sales,
ensuring successful implementation and driving overall sales growth.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Project Management:
Independently initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close bakery ingredient application projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, and sales) to ensure project success.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Regularly report project status to stakeholders.
Technical Sales:
Understand customer needs and recommend suitable bakery ingredient solutions.
Present, promote, and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers.
Provide technical expertise during sales discussions.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Follow up post-sale to ensure customer satisfaction.
Reporting:
Write detailed project reports, including project objectives, milestones, and outcomes.
Analyse project performance and identify areas for improvement.
Use data-driven insights to enhance sales strategies.
Market Awareness
:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
Attend relevant trade shows and conferences.
Sales Targets:
Achieve agreed-upon sales targets through effective project management and technical sales efforts.
PROFILE
Grade 12 and National diploma or Degree in Sales or Similar qualifications
Driver's License is not essential for this position.
Fam iliarity with bakery industrial processes .
Languages: English is a prerequisite; additional language(s) an advantage.
Computer literacy: Office computer (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) will be an advantage.
Other expertise: Business & result driven, strong presentation skills, strong interpersonal skills, team player, creative, innovative.
Completed Chamber of Baking and AIB courses would be advantageous
