the Regional Technical Support Specialist act as leaders, on-the-job trainers and mentors for the technicians in the operations team throughout the organisation.

Understanding load test failure consequences and dangers

Understanding the legal implications of a PDI
Electrical competencies, being able to do fault finding and repair
Diesel competencies, to understand the internal combustion process and to do fault finding and repair
Hydraulic competencies, understanding the functional principles and to do fault finding and repair.

Assess technical skills gaps and training needs.
Develop Standard Operation Procedures Manual for quality management purposes, throughout the business.
Evaluate technical quality by assessing technician's quality of work based on the Quality SOP.
Mentorship and training
Facilitate process and culture change where needed
Feedback sessions with technicians and management
Coordinate training where theoretical education is required
Supervise key skills improvement projects
Collaborate with local managers to improve the skills of the technicians
Monitor Progress
Monitor change progress from current technician status to after training and upliftment project
Report to management on timelines, success and future actions
Cost Control
Set Project Budget per branch, including timelines and resources needed, in case of training and quality related projects.
Monitor Project Cost on a weekly basis and adhere to approved budget.
Ensure correct tools are being used for the correct processes.
Evaluate the capability of the operations to perform the required functions.

Minimum
Grade 12
Driver's License

Experience
8 - 10 years' experience Training and Quality, workshop and technical staff management.
