Technical Production and Brand Support Specialist

Vollherbst is a premium packaging and print partner serving leading wine, spirits, and FMCG brands. Their South African team operates as a compact, agile team backed by global expertise - combining premium standards with startup adaptability.
They have an opportunity available for a Technical Production & Brand Support Specialist to join the team - a technically strong individual who can run production (label printing) equipment with precision while also supporting brand-aligned, client-facing technical communication when required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Technical Production (primary focus)

• Operate and maintain printing and finishing equipment
• Manage job setups, calibrations, checks, and quality control
• Execute production runs with precision and consistency
• Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain operational flow
• Document work accurately and uphold premium quality standards

2. Technical Brand Support (secondary focus / as needed)

• Provide technical clarity and input to internal teams
• Translate brand requirements into technical production specifications
• Prepare samples, technical notes, and job details for commercial discussions
• Support client-facing conversations where technical feasibility matters
• Ensure that technical decisions align with brand expectations

3. Cross-Functional Flexibility

• Order acceptance / order management, inventory management, and documentation in ERP system
• Assist in operational planning, documentation, and coordination tasks
• Collaborate with the commercial and operations teams as workloads shift
• Engage professionally with both internal teams and external stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum matric
• Diploma / degree in engineering or a related technical field will be advantageous
• Experience with printing, finishing, materials, or production machinery will be advantageous
• Advance computer literacy (Excel etc.)
• Driver's licence and own transport
• High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to quality
• Strong communicator with professional presence and confident in managing client interactions
• Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
• Adaptable - able to pivot between production and commercial technical support tasks
