What you can expect

The incumbent will responsible for ensuring relevant Responsible Care objectives and imperatives are implemented and exercised to ensure optimal utilization of all resources. SAP Master data maintenance, data analysis and order management for Material Resource Planning (MRP), Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) Store and Maintenance Buying. Duties will include the following:




Supporting with optimization of technical spares used on all production equipment Supporting the management of all MRO related projects and initiatives to commissioning stage Assisting in the development of MRO material technology within the production environment Identification and communication of technical material specifications Processing orders of MRO store items, consumables and ensuring accurate levels of all consumables Ensuring that all required maintenance buying is processed Ensuring that inter-departmental customer requirements (e.g. issues of parts to lines or maintenance spares or consumables) are met in conjunction with documentation and that movements are done effectively and efficiently Ensuring that all Master Data for SAP for MRO products are accurate and up to date Providing new / updated material details to relevant departments SAP Master Data coordinating, collaborating with Procurement and Controlling to drive and streamline the introduction of new products and material changes Providing information on new and modified articles to Procurement / Finance for creation of Contracts Reporting on requisitions without Schedule agreements and releasing of purchase requisitions and following up on open purchase orders Auditing, analyzing, following up and closure of Master Data issues with relevant departments Managing the freight for Capex items, arranging quotes, raising PRs and following up on ETA dates Assisting the Maintenance Engineer to facilitate RFQ meetings and coordinate suppliers Ensuring MRO Store stock numbers and part names are aligned to those of suppliers Analyzing frequency of part consumption and reporting on anomalies Assisting the Maintenance Engineer to verify required stock quantities before scheduled job cards are issued to artisans and populate spare part numbers on maintenance schedules Performing monthly receiving inspections to confirm supplier daily quality standards Performing any other related duties in the interest of BASF Catalysts South Africa as instructed Working according to Integrated Management System (Quality, Safety and Environmental) requirements Working according to Instructions / Procedures as pertaining to his/her operation function as assigned and abide by all legal (laws/by laws) requirements / Company Policies and Practices

What we expect

N. Dip / B.Tech Mechanical Engineering Minimum 5 years buying experience with strong knowledge of MRP/MRO in a Manufacturing / Engineering environment is advantageous Effective controls and processes to ensure correct inventory on MRO Store to ensure plant up time Inventory integrity of MRO Store at optimal levels Proficiency in SAP Master Data
