This is a full-time, onsite role based in Marble Hall. The technical manager provides expert and technical support regarding the quality of feed that is produced by the Feed Milling operations, with a specific emphasis on system implementation, monitoring the quality, and the successful investigation and settlement of all customer complaints.
Minimum Requirements
Requirements:
MSc (Agric) Animal Science with relevant experience.
Compliance with Act 27 of 2003 (Natural Scientific Professions Act).
Two years of experience in animal nutrition.
Attention to detail, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Analytical ability, computer literacy, and self-motivation.
Excellent people skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for (included, but not limited to):
On-site Quality Control:
+ Manage raw material quality control on-site, including sampling and testing.
+ Conduct standard analyses on incoming raw materials.
+ Oversee final feed quality control on-site, ensuring representative sampling and testing.
+ Conduct analyses on in-process and final feed.
+ Weekly reporting on progress, risks and problem areas.
ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 Compliance:
+ Develop and implement ISO 9001 and 22000 standards at mill level.
+ Act as the Feed Safety and Quality Leader on-site, guiding the team to compliance.
